Top New Cars of 2016

Almost every single working-class individual across the United States has a vehicle in their driveway. This is their main means of transportation to and from work, the grocery store, or to simply enjoy a night out on the town.

Most drivers are relatively safe while on the road, but accidents do happen. Many consumers want a car that can keep them safe while they are behind the wheel. Of course, cost and other small features within the vehicle do play a large part in the purchase of a brand new car. For most, purchasing a vehicle can require a bit of research before pulling the trigger and spending all of that hard-earned cash.

In 2016 alone, the car market saw numerous new releases, all vying for the top spot and your money. To determine the best cars for 2016, you must really look into four different aspects:

2016 Honda Fit Compact

The 2016 Honda Fit Compact could have been considered an underdog at one point. The vehicle is small, which gives it an unassuming appearance. With a starting MSRP of $15,890, the Fit is a perfect option for those seeking a small, sleek car to transport the family in safety. Honda knows they have a winner on their hands, so they have been marketing and offering promotions for the Fit Compact for a few months now. Consumers cannot get enough of the vehicle.

In terms of miles per gallon, you will be happy to know the Fit Compact is capable of 41 miles per gallon while on the highway and 33 miles per gallon while driving through the city. Great mileage is not the only feature of note within the Fit, though. The car can seat 5 people, has 4 interior configurations, and 52.7 cu ft3 of cargo space.

As for interior features, you can expect leather-trimmed seats, HondaLink Next Generation, which allows you to swipe through music and podcasts with ease, a 7-inch touch-screen display, one-touch moonroof, Honda LaneWatch, and push button start — all features the tech-savvy consumer is seeking.

2016 Subaru Impreza

The 2016 Subaru Impreza is one of the most efficient new vehicles launched this year. Starting at just $18,295, the 2016 model features a wide variety of specifications, optional features, and standard inclusions. The variety of colors should be enticing for many buyers, too.

As for safety, Subaru takes this aspect of the process incredibly seriously. Features like Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, an extensive protection system, and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which helps monitor the traffic and movement around your vehicle, all ensure a safe, luxurious ride for all those in the car. The updated STARLINK Safety Plus package, included in the vehicle, will alert a highly-trained advisor in the case of an emergency while on the road.

In terms of mileage, the Subaru Impreza is capable of anywhere between 28 to 37 miles per gallon, depending on whether you are driving through the city or on the highway. For long road trips or a simple stop to a local restaurant, the Subaru Impreza is a trusted vehicle known for its efficiency and style.

2016 Toyota Camry

The 2016 Toyota Camry is the most expensive option when it comes to the top cars of 2016, but it is also one of the best value new vehicles on the market today. With an MRSP starting at $23,070, and an estimated gas mileage of between 24 and 33, the Camry is beat out in some regards, but shines bright in other areas.

One of those areas is its appearance. Toyota went above and beyond with their design, which features LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome-tipped dual exhaust, and a sport mesh front grille. Heads really do turn when you are driving by, that isn’t just in the commercials.

If you absolutely love technology within your vehicle, you will be happy to note the 2016 Toyota Camry features an Entune App Suite, Navy system with traffic monitoring features to avoid real-time problems in your immediate area, trip information for those long road trips, and voice-activated features. All of this is displayed via a multi-information display mounted in the center console.

Safety is the real concern here, and the Camry comes out on top over the competition in many ways. Toyota spared no expense when it came to implementing safety features, which include a blind spot monitor, backup camera, lane departure alert, and dynamic radar cruise control. The Lane Departure Alert has most people excited, as it emits an audible warning to the driver when a lane departure is detected. The TPMS, or Tire Pressure Monitor System, is also included within the ride, standard on all models. Should a tire become underinflated, the system alerts the driver which tire is low on air for your next stop at a gas station. Toyota looks out for their drivers.

2016 is coming to a close, and 2017 vehicles are beginning to release to the market. All of those efficient 2016 cars, however, remain relevant and worthy of your hard-earned money. Each one has benefits surpassing another on the lot, and your decision will take into account a variety of different aspects and features included within the vehicle, as well as the overall price. The decision is all yours, though.
