Gmail and Check In
Beta version · Last updated October 12, 2026
Connecting Gmail is optional. When you do, Check In watches for emails from your pharmacy, telehealth service, medication maker or lab, and texts you what it found (a refill that's ready, an order that shipped, an appointment that's booked) so your reminders and check-ins match your real dates. Nothing goes into your profile until you say yes by text.
How to connect
- Text CONNECT EMAIL to Check In. You'll get a private link that works once, for 24 hours.
- Open it, read what Check In will and won't do, tick the box, and tap Connect Gmail.
- Google asks you to allow read-only access to Gmail. Check In asks for nothing else: not your contacts, calendar, or the ability to send mail.
- You'll get a text when you're connected. Check In then looks back 90 days, and every few hours after that.
- While Check In is in Google's review, Google shows a "hasn't verified this app" screen: tap Advanced, then Go to Check In.
What Check In reads, and what it does with it
- Read-only. Check In can't send, change, label or delete anything in your Gmail.
- It only searches for, and opens, emails from the senders listed below. It never opens anything else.
- An AI reads each of those emails in memory and picks out a few facts: your medication as listed, your pharmacy or care service, refill, ship and appointment dates, and lab visits. Then the email is thrown away. We never store your emails.
- Check In texts you each fact with a Yes / No question. Only what you say yes to is used, and only for your own reminders and check-ins.
- No one on our team reads your email. It's never sold, used for ads, or used to train AI models.

- Text DELETE to erase everything Check In has about you, including email facts.
- You can also remove Check In from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections. Check In stops reading right away.
- Questions? Text FEEDBACK and your question; the team will see it.
